Daniel began his real estate career in the summer of 1998, immediately after graduating from Plano East High School. Before attending college, he completed all required real estate courses. He then earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Banking and Finance from Franklin University Switzerland in Lugano in 2001. Shortly after, he returned to the Dallas (Plano) area to pursue his passion for commercial real estate.

Early in his career, Daniel managed and leased retail assets under GE Management Co. He also began syndicating deals through TK Eng & Associates Investment Group, Inc., raising funds to acquire shopping centers in the Dallas/Fort Worth market—a practice he continues today with his family’s commercial real estate companies.

During the 2008 financial crisis, Daniel chose to advance his expertise by joining the North Texas CCIM chapter and the Dallas IREM chapter. He earned both his CCIM and CPM certifications in 2009 and has since served on the boards of both organizations.

In 2010, Daniel was invited by his CCIM instructor, Mac McClure, former CCIM National President, to lead one of the Keller Williams Commercial Market Centers in Allen, Texas. He later transitioned to the KW Plano Market Center, partnering with Kelley Liu and Trang Dang-Le.

In 2012, Daniel, Kelley Liu, and Trang Dang-Le co-founded DFW iRealty, a residential real estate company, which was franchised as ERA iRealty in 2017, with his partners managing day-to-day operations.

That same year, Calvin Wong, Daniel’s partner at ENGVEST Commercial Real Estate and former Goldman Sachs Real Estate executive, joined to lead the firm’s brokerage and investment efforts. The two met while completing their CCIM investment courses in 2009.

In 2016, under the leadership of Rand Sperry and James Huang, ENGVEST affiliated with Sperry Commercial Global Affiliates to expand its commercial real estate network throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

In 2020, amid the global pandemic, ENGVEST ended its franchise with SperryCGA and transitioned its commercial team to eXp Commercial | Engvest Group. Daniel is excited to grow his commercial real estate team nationally and internationally using eXp’s global cloud-based platform.

Daniel has served on numerous real estate and nonprofit boards and remains an active advisor to many. He was the 2016 Past President of the Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAADFW) Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter. He is also a dedicated philanthropist supporting the Asian American Pacific Islander community in Dallas.

Daniel and his wife have four children, one of whom is in Heaven. They hope to inspire their children to serve the community and give back to those in need.
